Later that night, I took out my journal. "We landed on Earth's Moon just as the sun was setting," I wrote. "Then, after a late dinner of cheese sandwiches from the deli at the spaceport — is it true that dill pickles are the same everywhere you go? — we took a ride in the glass elevator to our hotel room.

"Our suite is near the second elevator up at the Luna Craters Hotel. Since this whole side of the hotel is one big clear plexiwall, we have a great view of the Earth at night glowing among the stars.

"Our friend Anna has lived here on Luna all of her life. She would say that it's the quality of the light, but she is a photographer, after all. In the meantime, my calendar says that tonight is the full moon!"
