I see a Black Maria, leaking oil in the street
her seats are torn and stained
the beer cans on the floor have dusty faded labels

A Gold Madonna rolls along slowly
as she weeps past the garbage in the street,
leaking oil as we meet
as the dust fades into rust, as the dust fades into rust

As I walk past the Black Maria, I bow my head
I do the same for the Gold Madonna
in turn, they mourn for me;
in turn, they mourn for me;
in turn, they mourn for me.
